Hello! I'm Oscar, a student and front-end web developer. This is my tumblelog. More?
Red Sweater Software just updated their publishing software MarsEdit to a fancy 3.0 and I’m writing this entry in it. A bit more stable when it comes to Tumblr these days as well as a bunch of new features:
A lot of posts about apps recently, but don’t blame me or anyone else.
Transmit 4 is out. I helped test this while it was under development and it is one of the best FTP apps that I have used. A great app for only $34, so go buy it.
It’s a $19 upgrade for those who bought Transmit 3.
There has been a lot of application releases lately and one of them, that even went under my radar is Schoolhouse. It is a task manager/GTD app by Logan Collins , a student, for students wishing to organize classes and homework. I’ve used the previous versions in the past and loved every second of it.
Schoolhouse was updated to 3.0 on September 20th with a brand new look, smart containers, appearance rules and MobileMe sync just to name few. With 3.0 Schoolhouse also got a price-tag but it was priced so that students could afford it; $14.
To me, Schoolhouse has always been better with keeping track of classes and courses without ever being cluttered or hard to configure so buying a license makes sense to me.
Twitt is a lightweight new Twitter app by Dan Deming-Henes which has been under development for 2 years. Besides being lightweight it is also very customizable when it comes to themes; all it takes is a little html and css and you’ve got yourself a theme.
One of my favorite lightweight image editors, Acorn, went to 2.0 today with a ton of new features including 64 bit support, layer groups, layered screenshots and a new sleek ui. It still costs $49.95 for a new license or you could upgrade for just $19.95.
