Hello, I'm Oscar. This is my tumblelog which mostly consist of Instagram photos these days.

I love pixelated art

It’s true. Whether it is the isometric art that eBoy creates or the kind of art that was featured in games during the late 80’s and early 90’s.

I am far too young to remember the games that ran on the SCUMM engine but that does not mean that I have played in more recent years. One of my favorite SCUMM games is the first Monkey Island game: The Secret of Monkey Island.

It is about Guybrush Threepwood (and yes, that is one awesome name) and his quest to become a pirate. To do this he must complete three challenges; defeat a swordmaster, steal a statue and find a buried treasure.

This game is better than most of the games that have come out in the last five or ten years and it is a game I would gladly pay for if I found it somewhere. I’m currently keeping my fingers crossed that Good Old Games will get permission by LucasArts to distribute the old SCUMM games.

Those who follow me on Twitter may have also seen my new avatar and another image I posted. I found these icons on an old magazine cover of mine, so I won’t take credit for the design. I did however make these from scratch, pixel by pixel, so I did actually do something.

Oh, and you should follow me on Twitter.

Bye!
